The College of Education and Human Services at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). Our initial teacher preparation programs and our advanced educator programs are accredited by NCATE, NCATE's accreditation is performance-based, meaning we provided evidence that our teacher candidates know the subject matter they teach and they teach effectively so that students learn. NCATE is recognized by the US Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation to accredit programs for preparation of teachers and other school personnel.

The College of Education and Human Services will undergo a continuing accreditation review by NCATE during academic year 2008 - 2009..
