Meeting called to order by Beeth at 1:00 PM.
Open Session:
Beeth welcomed everyone back to the NCATE Steering Committee.
Beeth gave the following time table for the following year:
1. First draft NCATE document. – October 20, 2006
2. Full draft of Report: January 15, 2006
3. First draft: November 17, 2006
4. Draft ready to go out to college for feedback: December 15, 2006
5. Draft ready to go out to partners and students. – January 15, 2007
October 20, 2006 meeting, have outline or draft of component responsible for. The draft will be looked at across platforms to examine link and what documentation is needed with feedback. At the November 17, 2006 meeting, the updated draft will be presented to share with entire group.
Things to keep in mind while preparing the draft:
1. Two years of data needed for analysis
2. Standard 2 is a good place to start. If this one done well, it will help
with the others.
3. Remember the final product will be no more than 50 pages long. The average
is 40 pages – single-spaced.
4. Suggestion for layout of the page – points addressed in outline can
be used as the headings for the different sections of the draft.
5. When adding all electronic references make sure the reader will be able to
know where to reference the information.
