Teaching continues to
provide me with many stimulating opportunities
for learning. I began as a first grade
teacher in an all white suburb outside
Chicago, taught preschool in a Jewish
Community center and then went on to teaching
college students who would become future
early childhood teachers. Currently my
activities include teaching on-line which
involves learning many new technology
skills and teaching skills such as establishing
rapport with online students.
My scholarly pursuits includes a chapter
which I co-authored with Lou Chicquette,
“Play and Learning in Wisconsin”
The purpose of this chapter is to describe
play and learning in the United States
of America, specifically through a representative
population of five toddlers in child
care centers located in Northeastern
Wisconsin. This chapter will be included
in an International Book on Play.
