Dr. Kelli A. Saginak, Ed.D., an Assistant
Professor in the Department of Counselor Education
at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, earned her
masters degree in Counseling from Rollins College
and a doctorate in Counselor Education from Idaho
State University. Her involvement with schools as
a teacher, counselor, prevention specialist, and consultant
extends over 20 years. As a counselor educator for
almost 9 years, her teaching specialties include school
counseling, group counseling, lifespan development,
consultation, and clinical experiences. In addition,
she co-authored one textbook on secondary school counseling,
and is currently co-authoring a K-12 edition.
Dr. Saginak has published and/or presented on a
variety of subjects, including experiential group
counseling & group leadership development, school
counseling leadership, systemic change and resistance
to change, and service-learning in counselor education.
She enjoys writing grants with students and community
partners, and working collaboratively with schools
on service-learning projects. Her current research
focuses on school counselor leadership, group leadership
development, and service-learning in counselor education.
