Brief Bio:

I completed a B.A in English and history, a B.S. in secondary education, and a MSE in Reading Education. My career began as a learning support specialist at the UW-O Reading/Study Center.  I later became an English teacher at Oshkosh North High School, leaving after three years to become a stay-at-home mother.  In 1985, I returned to the Reading/Study Center as a part-time lecturer of reading and study skills and in 1995 was named director.  I teach courses in reading and study skills and provide non-credit learning support services such as academic skills counseling and workshops on textbook study, test-taking, learning and memory.

In addition, I provide assistance to students who are preparing to take the PPST for admission into COEHS.  I have been actively involved in all-university efforts to support student academic development.   I currently serve on the Differential Tuition Core Committee, the Diversity Council, Advisory Council for Academic Advising, and the COEHS Administration Council.  In the summers, my husband and I enjoy cruising the Great Lakes in our sailboat, Windhover.
