The Fox Valley Writing Project (FVWP) at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has been awarded a $43,000 grant from the National Writing Project. This is the twenty-second consecutive, annual grant received by FVWP from the National Project. The FVWP is an innovative, collaborative effort between the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services and area school districts, which brings K-12+ educators together to share teaching strategies and to improve writing skills.
Patricia Scanlan, Associate Professor in the Reading Education Department, has recently assumed the role of Project Director and is replacing Polly Montgomery, Senior Lecturer in Curriculum and Instruction, who is retiring after serving in this capacity since 1998. Thanks to Polly for her years of service and her outstanding years of leadership in FVWP.
