Judith Hankes, Associate Professor, teaches mathematics methods and classroom research courses. She is the author of numerous articles dealing with multi-cultural education issues and mathematics. Her dissertation, Native American Pedagogy and Cognitive Based Mathematics Instruction, is available through Garland Press.

Dr. Hankes' teaching career spans thirty years and includes primary level classroom teaching, counseling of at-risk high school students, coordinating gifted and talented programs, and mathematics inservice education for public and tribal schools nationally. She is also the founder and co-director of the UW Oshkosh Intertribal Pre-College Program.
