Brief Bio:

While my husband and I pursued our earlier academic and professional lives and parented young children, my teaching was in a variety of settings at all levels from elementary foreign languages through adult ESL:
--university French at Michigan State University as a grad assistant,
--high school French for two years in Kenya,
--public high school French in Michigan,
--ESL to adults in a university program in Beirut, Lebanon,
--Spanish at Shattuck Middle School in Neenah,
--ESL to adults at Fox Valley Tech,
--French and Spanish at the University of Wisconsin Fox Valley

As my career became more full time, I began at UW Oshkosh in fall of '84 and have since taught French and Spanish for the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and the methods courses mentioned above, along with the supervision of all COEHS foreign languages student teachers and clinical students.

Other professional activities include an orientation to Saudi Arabia publication for business travelers, a competency-based career education curriculum for ESL at Fox Valley Tech, Spanish for business people at Kimberly Clark, a multimedia Hmong/English orientation to Fox Valley Tech, translating and interpreting, and numerous presentations for area public school students and professional groups. Besides French and Spanish fluency, I have U.S. Foreign Service ratings (with considerably less fluency, however) in Swahili and Arabic.
